Connect with and Learn from Your Fellow Students

To be a Carolina student is to be part of a community incredibly rich in traditions, school spirit, and, above all, the resources you need to develop your individual talents and leadership skills. With more than 600 student clubs and organizations, you'll find innumerable avenues to explore your professional and intellectual interests and embrace your passion for music, the performing arts, journalism, creative writing, student government, politics, or international cultures. We also offer more than 60 intramural sports within all skills levels, which give you the opportunity to push your physical boundaries. And somewhere along the way, as you build exciting new relationships and create lifelong memories, you will find yourself.

“One of my best friends at Carolina is Dori, whom I met my freshman year because both of us were involved in North Carolina Hillel and did a program called the BINA Initiative (an Israel exploration program for UNC faculty, students and staff) together.  Both of us are strong women, so we didn't exactly get along at first!  But at the end of the year we bonded quickly, and that summer we ended up doing the same summer program in southern California and going on a road trip in the sequoias. ”
