Program Overview:
The MacDonald Community Service Scholarship Program is offered to a select group of incoming service-oriented UNC-Chapel Hill students. As part of the program, students receive:

  • Automatic enrollment in the Buckley Public Service Scholars program, which will help them develop their public service portfolios and community service skills
  • Automatic enrollment in the First-Year Service Corps, which provides skills training, exposure to leaders in public service realms, and more
  • Training, mentorship and support in pursuing their particular public service interests
  • A $5,000 annual scholarship, renewable for four years
