The Global Gap Year Fellowship at UNC-Chapel Hill is the first college-sponsored gap year program that allows students to design their own experience for a year abroad.

The Fellowship partners with UNC-CH Office of Undergraduate Admissions, which helps promote the program and select the recipients, and works with students as they follow their passions working with an international community.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: Like many of you we are monitoring the Coronavirus closely and will adhere to the recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the UNC Global Travel Warnings. At this time we do not anticipate it affecting our next class of Fellows (departing Fall 2023), but will work closely with Admissions to ensure that if plans need to change our Fellows will be able to join their classmates in beginning at UNC during the Fall of 2023.
