Academic Department Tours

Our standard campus tour agenda includes a 45 minute information session with an Undergraduate Admissions staff member followed by a 75-90 minute walking tour of campus led by a current student. If you’d like to learn more about specific academic programs at Carolina, consider joining a department tour while you’re here.


Department of Computer Science: One of the first independent computer science departments established in the United States, the department produces sought-after graduates with a focus on solving today’s problems and building a better future. Students interested in the program are invited to attend an information session, which is offered twice a week.

When: Mondays at 9 am, Thursdays at 1 pm. Please note that no tours will be offered on holidays, University breaks or Exam Days.

Eshelman School of Pharmacy: The Pharmacy School offers “Pharmacy Fridays,” which are opportunities to meet with current students, learn about the admissions process and highlights of the pharmacy program, and tour the school.

Kenan-Flagler Business School (Undergraduate Program): The Kenan-Flagler Business School offers student-led tours of the undergraduate program and an opportunity for Q&A with a Business School Admissions Director.

When: Select Mondays and Fridays

School of Media and Journalism: The School of Media and Journalism offers student-led tours, which include a visit from the Senior Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies at the school.

When: Wednesdays and Fridays at 1:30 pm

How to join: There is no need to make a reservation in advance. Simply go to the Dean’s Suite on the first floor of Carroll Hall where the tour will depart. For more information, please visit the School of Media and Journalism’s website.


School of Nursing: The School of Nursing offers information sessions for prospective students about the program and application process and an opportunity to ask questions.
