The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is known for cutting-edge research, rigorous academic programs, and outstanding faculty, staff, and students. The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program was named the #1 PharmD program in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. The School prepares students to become leaders and innovators in pharmacy practice, education, and research.
The program includes:
- A spot in the competitive PharmD program. Last year, only 25% of students who applied were admitted, and the average undergraduate GPA of admitted students was 3.5.
- Invitation to a special monthly seminar – from meeting alumni, to sessions on research and pharmacy shadowing opportunities to getting to know Pharmacy faculty and staff, these seminars can be crucial to building your network.
- Mentoring from Pharmacy faculty and staff as well as from a current Pharmacy student who Assured Admission students are paired with in the fall semester.
First-year students who take advantage of this program are under no obligation to pursue the PharmD degree if their interests lead them elsewhere. Find more information about the PharmD Assured Enrollment Program.
