The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is known for cutting-edge research, rigorous academic programs, and outstanding faculty, staff, and students. The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program was named the #1 PharmD program in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. The School prepares students to become leaders and innovators in pharmacy practice, education, and research.
The program includes:
- A spot in the competitive PharmD program. Last year, only 150 of the 600 students who applied were admitted, and the average undergraduate GPA of admitted students was 3.5.
- Invitation to a special monthly seminar – from meeting alumni, to sessions on research and pharmacy shadowing opportunities to getting to know Pharmacy faculty and staff, these seminars can be crucial to building your network.
- Mentoring from Pharmacy faculty and staff as well as from a current Pharmacy student who Assured Admission students are paired with in the fall semester.
First-year students who take advantage of this program are under no obligation to pursue the PharmD degree if their interests lead them elsewhere.
