Can high school students take courses at Carolina?

Yes, local high school students may enroll in Part-Time Classroom Studies as long as they’re continuously enrolled in high school full-time, the high school doesn’t offer a course comparable to the course the student wishes to take at Carolina, and the student demonstrates adequate academic preparation for the course. High school students should apply to the Part-Time Classroom Studies Program as non-degree seeking students, and they must submit a letter from their counselor approving their decision to dual-enroll. Transcripts and test scores are not required. Please note that there is a separate application and a different set of requirements to enroll in Summer School, which rising high school seniors (both local and non-local) are eligible to do.
