What is the cost for Carolina Global Launch and is financial aid available?

The estimated cost is $21,500, which does not include airfare, books, personal expenses, or passport costs. This estimate also does not include meals if you are going to Scotland, or Ireland, or South Korea, though it does include meals if you are going to Spain or Costa Rica. Financial aid is not available for your fall semester abroad while participating in Carolina Global Launch, so students and their families will need to have other funding sources to participate in the program. Limited one-time scholarships are available for Carolina Global Launch, and we’ll automatically consider you for these based on your application for admission. If you are selected for a scholarship, this offer will display in the decision tab of your MyCarolina.

The use of VA Educational Benefits is not available for the fall semester while participating in Carolina Global Launch.

Financial aid is available for your spring semester at Carolina. If you submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS Profile during your senior year of high school, you’ll be considered for the full range of need-based financial aid for your spring semester at Carolina. You’ll receive your financial aid package for the spring semester prior to the deadline of May 15 to confirm your participation in Carolina Global Launch.
