I was admitted for the fall, but would like to get an early start by taking Carolina courses this summer. What steps do I need to take?
Students who’ve already accepted their admission offer can register for online summer courses by following these steps:
- Submit the Summer Enrollment Form in your MyCarolina portal.
- Within five business days of submission, we’ll email your UNC email address to confirm you’re all set to register for summer courses in your ConnectCarolina Student Center.
- Contact an academic advisor who can guide you through course selection and registration. We’ll provide the contact information of an advisor in your summer enrollment confirmation. Find more resources for new students on the academic advising website.
- Register for orientation. All first-year students are required to attend orientation prior to attending summer school. While attending orientation is also required of transfer students, they may take summer courses before attending an orientation session.
