Explore Honors Carolina, study abroad, undergraduate research, and academic majors and minors during your time at Carolina. Here’s how to get started:

      • You can apply to join Honors Carolina during your first or second year.
      • Honors classes and Honors Study Abroad programs are open to all students, and the program reserves seats in these classes and programs for students not in the program.
      • Any student can graduate with Honors if they complete an Honors Thesis within their major.
      • Carolina offers over 70 majors and minors, and students can double-major and hold multiple minors.
      • Carolina’s Ideas in Action undergraduate curriculum is designed to prepare students for a lifetime of leadership and service. As a sophomore, you’ll be able to declare or apply to your major(s) and minor(s).
      • Study Abroad is open to students from all majors, and courses taken abroad can count towards major, minor, general education, or elective credit. Funding and scholarships are available for current students to support study in our 400+ programs around the world.
      • Undergraduate Research is open to students from all majors and students can apply for funding to support their research and present at conferences.
