What is the Sophomore Guarantee? How can I receive this?
Each year, we are able to offer the sophomore guarantee to a small number of students who applied as first-year applicants but were not offered admission. The Sophomore Guarantee provides students an assured path to transfer to Carolina as a sophomore the following year in the fall semester. Students offered this program must successfully complete their first year of college work while maintaining exemplary behavior.
Students are selected for this program through our holistic review and there is nothing beyond applying for admission that you need to do to be considered.
